First defeat of Team Cabra (2-1) against Padre Gran (2-1) 109-103 was the most important game of the last round. It was a good game for Yunior Martinez who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 21 points, 5 rebounds and 10 assists. Alexander Garcia contributed with 15 points for the winners. Padre Gran's coach used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Venezuelan-Dominican Kelvin Pena (193-1980, college: Southeastern) answered with 20 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for Team Cabra. Team Cabra will play next round against strong Austin G. trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Padre Gran will try to continue on its current victory against Crocs on the road.

Very important is a road loss of Dominican Rep. CDF (1-2) against American Greeners (2-1) on Thursday night. Visiting CDF was defeated by Greeners in a tough game in Austin 90-96. It was a great evening for guard Geoff Harner (185-1983) who led his team to a victory scoring 20 points and 4 assists. Jamie Johnson helped adding 17 points and 7 rebounds. Greeners' coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. The best for the losing side was Nigerian guard Andrew Dikas (193-1988, college: Brewton Parker) with 20 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Greeners will play against Team Cabra (#3) in the next round, which may be the game of the day. CDF will play against Immortals to get more than just one victory in their record.

The game in supposed to be also quite interesting. Dominican Rep. Immortals (2-1) played at the court of American Crocs (0-3). Immortals smashed Crocs 132-62 on Thursday. It was an exceptional evening for Paul Harrison who led the winners with a triple-double by scoring 30 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists. Immortals' coach felt very confident that he used 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. DJ Johnson came up with 15 points for Crocs in the defeat. Immortals will meet CDF (#5) in the next round. Crocs will play against Padre Gran and hope to get finally their first victory.


Crocs - Immortals 62-132

The game in supposed to be also quite interesting. Dominican Rep. Immortals (2-1) played at the court of American Crocs (0-3). Immortals smashed Crocs 132-62 on Thursday. Immortals dominated down low during the game scoring 100 of its points in the paint compared to Crocs' 34. Immortals looked well-organized offensively handing out 31 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by Crocs' players. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Immortals made 7 blocks. It was an exceptional evening for American Paul Harrison (206-1989, college: NGU) who led the winners with a triple-double by scoring 30 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists. Forward Angel Rivas (198-1993) accounted for 20 points and 6 rebounds for the winning side. Five Immortals players scored in double figures. Immortals' coach felt very confident that he used 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Point guard DJ Johnson (188, college: Mt.Mercy) came up with 15 points and point guard Riley Kilgore (183, college: Florida CC) added 15 points respectively for Crocs in the defeat. Immortals will meet CDF (#5) in the next round.
